With temperatures this weekend in Texas reaching well into the 70’s and even the 80’s at times, I have got one thing on my mind… hot weather.  Not just warm weather, but sweltering, hot weather.  Am I crazy that I miss it?  With hot weather comes the summertime and a possible beach trip in June with my boyfriends family.  Which brings me to… Vilebrequin: the most fabulous men’s swim trunks on the market.

Vilebrequin is the king of all swim trunks.  And for a very good reason.  Originally started in Saint Tropez in the 70’s, the company,”symbolizes the values shared by elegant and demanding men, men who wish to combine casual elegance with humor, originality with impecable taste, and quality.  They are naturally at home in this colorful world, reminiscent of fine sandy beaches, sunsets and dreams.”  The collection was widened in 1995 with the “like father, like son” approach where they created identical trunks to dad’s in sizes ranging from 2-12.  Now generations of families can sport the same stunning trunks on the beach year after year.  When I was in one of their stores, an employee told me that they often times have grandfathers who come in before family reunions on the beach and buy trunks for the entire family of boys.  How cute is that!?

The trunks come in an array of styles, colors, and patterns with each as enticing as the next.  Each pair is made with care and includes: double stitching at the seams for strength, reinforced stitching at “stress points”, a polyester cord that never loses its shape, double inside hems, and rear eyelets to reduce the “ballooning effect”.

Vilebrequin: “Revolutionary yesterday, stylish today, a fashion icon forever!”

I want some for Julian SOOOOOO bad, better yet a matching set for the 2 of them, but $80 for kids trunks? yikes!
