Angels on the Catwalk

November 29, 2011

It’s that time of year again… When angels take the stage in their underwear – in the most artistic and creative way possible – in the name of Victoria’s Secret.  The Fashion Show only comes once a year but now that Sally and I have DVR we can make the runway experience part of our everyday existence. Ok, all joking aside, I seriously love the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.  Like I said last year, the music is amaz (although I’m not sure Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj and Kayne can even come close to topping my girl Katy’s performance last year),…

Like I said last year, the music is amaz (although I’m not sure Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj and Kayne can even come close to topping my girl Katy’s performance last year), the girls look flawless, the themes are executed to a T.  It’s also just a good time to stare at some of the most rocking bodies on the planet while in your sweatpants at home.  I’ve already been getting real excited for the show with the makeup recap of artist Tom Pecheux on Into The Gloss and back-stage snaps of silk robes and makeup by Cupcakes and Cashmere and Karla’s Closet… And, like last year, Harper’s Bazaar gives us a little taste of what is come tonight… This year they are showing us some of the gorgeous jewelry that’s going to be spotted on the runway.  Read the article to learn more about the themes that inspired the pieces!

Think we’ll be seeing angels or just really stunning women tonight?  Maybe… “Enough with the false lashes,” makeup artist Tom Pecheux declared. “We used to do a lot of fakeness: false lashes, fake tan, blah, blah, blah. This year we kill everything. No more fakeness. You know, these girls are amazing and unique—they don’t want to all look the same,”  – – via Into The Gloss

P.S. Check out the All Access site to the show here – I feel like I can’t be the only one interested in seeing how Alessandra Ambrosio gets her bod looking the way it does.
