A few months (actually a bagillion) ago I posted about painting a bookshelf/cabinet piece to go in my bedroom. Months and months later, the piece is finally in my room and I am now dreaming of ways to style it. Initially, the main reason why I needed to add it to my bedroom was for more sweater storage. Since those are going in the closed cabinets below, I want to put pretties on the open shelving above. The above images from the Coveteur’s feature on the Who What Wear offices, are giving me some prettyyy fantastic ideas.
I love the idea of displaying nail polish bottles rather than having them tucked away in a drawer. My nail polishes are my babies afterall, anyway (kidding. kinda). What a phenomenal way to add color, right? And it makes the colors so much easier to get to. I found a great, basic glass hurricane from Crate and Barrel that I think would be perfect for the job. I will be picking one up this week, I hope!
Stacks of books are obviously a given for any pretty bookshelf, but the all white stack above is what really caught my eye. That piece of coral is such cool texture and unlike anything I currently own. Don’t you know that Jamie Meares of Shop Furbish would have just the perfect thing – a decorative coral that sits on a lucite base. Perfectionnn.
Can’t wait to liven up the shelves of my newest furniture piece! Any other great bookshelf accessories that I just have to have? Do tell..
