Scenic Pencil Skirt

August 23, 2013

Its not very often that I find myself wearing or buying pencil skirts, just because they aren’t necessarily conducive to my day job, but I love a good pencil skirt and love pairing them with a tee so as not to make it too dressy.  The Sightseer Pencil Skirt from the Anthro Archival Collection is one of the prettiest pieces I have seen in awhile.  I adore the scene printed on the skirt and the color way is amazing.  The combination of the bright blue with navy and a touch of black on the hem also makes the piece versatile. …

When summertime comes, we kind of push the blue jeans to the back of the closet and try to wear white jeans whenever we can. With it being almost September, we’re ready for a change—we’re going to start slipping that blue denim back into the daily rotation and have been having fun with printed pairs. On their own printed jeans can look a little casual but we’ve been dressing them up; pairing them with heels and various tops for after-work drinks and dinner. Love that it’s a classic blue jean that’s different than a straight-up blue jean, and something you to wear virtually anything with it. So it might be 90+ degrees here, but were trying to ease back into ze blue denim! #myONstyle

Helloooo Wednesday! This week has been #stressful around these parts. A full week of work/training/orientation plus packing up an apartment filled with stuff can be quite overwhelming.  I have also been living off of a diet of scrambled eggs, oatmeal, and cereal. Super glamorous. All of our pots and pans are packed except for one, so it gets washed multiple times a day between our respective meals.  We are literally up to our necks in boxes.  The only thing getting me through the madness is the excitement of our new place and organizing and starting fresh.  That and the fact that…

Here’s to hoping that by Sunday night we are all settled in and enjoying our new digs! And here are some killer sale picks as well:)

I saw this sweet sweater and it was love at first sight. A surprising choice for me—I prefer edgy and simple over cutesy and detailed any day—but I had a vision for wearing it with boyfriend jeans and nude heels and that’s what I did. It’s a little ironic in a, “Yes, there are indeed dogs running around my sweater,” kind of way and its a piece that’s going to be part of my closet forever. Oh, and it’s part of Anthro’s 20th Anniversary Archival Collection, so you know it’s going to have appeal years from now. Images taken by…
