In lieu of Sole Society’s “Chic Is” campaign, to me “chic” is clean lines, nothing too fussy, and a notch up from simple. It’s that solid top in the most amazing silhouette and fabric or that perfectly dressed woman on the street that is effortlessly wearing classic pieces. Chic is kind of one of those words that’s hard to put into words – you just have to see it or feel it.
When it comes to buying shoes, I always have the hardest time finding that “in between” pair that isn’t super casual or a wedge, but isn’t a dressy high heel. That pair that can be worn with anything from shorts to dresses, but is nice enough to pair with dressier materials. This pair from Sole Society is just that to me. They’re the perfect nude color that is always a welcomed addition to any closet and the heel definitely qualifies it as one of those great middle of the road qualifiers. I love my wedges and I love my higher heels, but there is a time and a place for both and this guy answers your prayers when you need something different. At just $60, they don’t break the bank either, which won’t make me feel badly about wearing them like crazy and at all sorts of events all Spring and Summer long!
