Tomorrow is December. How that's possible I'm not really sure...but holiday decorations had started to slowly infiltrate the San Francisco neighborhoods in the past weeks and now that I'm route back to Cali after a short Thanksgiving break in Texas, I can't wait to see the holiday festiveness really take over. I'm a sucker for lights and greenery (my fiancé and I are even getting a real tree this year! Big moves!) and everything from the scents to the symbolism of the season makes me happy. As a teacher December is an especially rowdy month as kids are basically bouncing off the walls for sweets, Santa, presents, and a break from school. Aside from making my place feel as warm and Christmasy as possible and buying gifts for friends and family, I'll be spending the next several weeks bundling and layering till my cozy heart is content.
Molly and I had a few last hours together in Dallas today before I had to head to the airport and we spent them having lunch and checking out what the local neighborhoods had to offer in terms of early decorations. Lower Greenville didn’t disappoint and we both fell in love with an eclectic, wooden tree by the Lowest Greenville Collective. The creative display might have totally shown up my simple merino-blend sweater and jeans ensemble but the look is one I’ll be replicating and re-using all holiday season so it felt fitting to be sporting it along side such a festive tree.
What’s not to love about jeans and a sweater? I went casual this time around with flat boots but will be paring the same separates with these new heels for some holiday parties back in SF.
