Be Merry, Feel Bright

December 25, 2015

The two of us got to Kansas City (home) on the evening of the 23rd and since being with our family it has been a happy balance of activity and rest. Lots of cooking, baking, eating, and drinking. Wrapping gifts, giving gifts, opening gifts. Visiting with aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. Messing with our younger siblings (although we're missing our brother Scott and his sweet fiancé Jenna!) and relishing quality time with our parents.

This year there hasn't been any snow in KC and part of us is sad to not have a white Christmas. But the festive feeling inside our parent's homes definitely makes up for the lack of a snow-covered city. We hope that all of you have had a nice holiday with friends, family or both. This time of year seems to get more magical the older we get...there's just nothing like coming home for Christmas. We're feeling very merry and very bright as we gear up for next week and welcoming a new year!
