I know that Molly posted a Cuyana dress last week (this post, this dress) but I'm a monkey-see-monkey-do kind of sister and and posting a Cuyana dress of my own today! In case you missed the memo, Cuyana came out with some great pima cotton dresses this summer...two easy silhouettes (one shorter, one longer) both with the brand's signature back-pleat detailing. I had been looking new comfortable dresses that I could dress up or dress down since having the baby and both styles were the exact elevated "wear 24/7" classics I was looking for!
Don’t worry – you’ll be seeing me in the short dress soon (I have it in the black) – but today I’m in the longer of the two. It’s not a maxi, it’s more of a midi. I was slightly skeptical of how the crewneck and sleeveless style would look on me with a longer hem (I didn’t want to look too covered up or something) but the pleated and draped back situation along with slits up both sides makes it super flattering and easy to wear. Given how freaking hot it is in Dallas right now, the pima cotton blend feels nice and cool.
Normally I think of a heathered grey cotton piece to be more on the casual side – and it’s definitely a less-dressy hue compared to black – but the pretty draping on this dress really makes it so easy to dress up (with some statement earrings). Of course, it looks just as great with flipflots and my mom tote bag, too!
