Thinking of and praying for everyone in Florida as Hurricane Irma is on the move...
What we have in this post are three of my favorite new wardrobe pieces: grey Toothpick Jeans from J.Crew that I can't stop wearing (especially with white tops), Cynthia Cazort Collin's easy and elegant Swing Top, and my only flat sandal purchase of the summer (besides flip-flops) in the Bo Tassel Wrap Sandal by Loeffler Randall. It's a trifecta of neutral newness and I'm wearing all three like crazy as we head into fall.
I’m always on the look-out for great white tops (they’re my hoarding obsession) and even though I have several white off-the-shoulder shirts, this one by by Cynthia caught my attention for it’s simple (but not simple) silhouette. I love the swing factor and in a season that’s dominated by ruffles, it’s nice that this guy has flow but not frills. The best part: under the ruffle there’s fabric that goes straight down (kind of like a liner) and surrounds the back and tummy for coverage.
All I can say about these jeans is that they’re a magical grey color and somehow they look great with practically everything. I’m loving the fit so much that I’m considering getting them in another wash…the Bryson looks like a perfect medium hue!
And it might be later in the season to buy a pair of sandals but I’m SO glad that I scooped up the Bo. Most ankle-wrap sandals are a little too extreme for me but these ones have the right amount of texture and detail without being over the top. Bonus that the criss-crossing across the feet totally conceal my bunions (not even 30 and have the feet of an elderly woman – what can ya do?!).
