There's quite a bit happening with this top: eyelet (of the flower variety), ruffles, bell sleeves, and tuxedo pleats. Somehow J.Crew made it all work. And it's not too terribly preppy - which is crazy considering the eyelet and ruffle factors. As soon as I tried it on and did a little front tuck I was sold. Sometimes navy feels tricky to wear with jeans (it can be a lot of blue) but the texture and detail on this guy means that it stands out when worn with darker denim and it's not too harsh to wear with lighter washes like what I have on here.
Side note, I recently
stole borrowed these Lucky jeans from Molly’s closet and well, I love them. Might have to get the same pair and another Bridgette style for myself since Lucky is having a buy one, get one 50% off deal. Who knew I would like high-rise denim so much?!
