I said I wouldn’t get wrapped up in the kitchy commemorative items made specially for the royal wedding – I said “I’ll buy a pretty coffee table book of the wedding hot off the press” – but I think this little china mug has made me change my mind. What do you guys think? It’s not too serious, not gaudy, not overly expensive… It’s cute, funny, special, and has a unique British vibe.
Me thinks it would work well holding some of my make-up brushes on my vanity or perhaps pencils on my desk? Jolly fine indeed!!
P.S. Havrey Nichols has some seriously cute commemorative loot – check it all out the “Royal Wedding Gifts” here!
I love that British Vogue is embracing the wedding fever for the Royal Wedding just as much as the rest of the world! Leave it to the UK to honor the wedding of the century in such a stylish way. Their May 2011 issue was published with three separate covers – a first for the magazine! Who’s your favorite? a) Natalia Vodianova, b) Freja Beha Erichsen, or c) Lara Stone
Inside the magazine there the amazing editorial spread above, fittingly titled “Wedding Belles.” How jaw-droppingly gorgeous do these top models look in those wedding gowns?! I screamed when I saw that Arizona Muse was among the featured Loving how they styled the shots with the women surrounded by “uniformed” men (and a few women, too)… Very cheeky. My favorite shot is the second to last – that perfectly voluminous pale lavender gown with the army-green soldiers is a perfect combination!
Today’s the big day! It’s 3:00am CST and I am about to start watching the most spectacular wedding my eyes ever have seen!!! I can’t wait to drink in every detail in leu of drinking commemorative champagne (but honestly how cute is this limited edition Union Jack bottle by Pommery?!) and I’m anxiously awaiting to see how beautiful Kate looks in what is sure to be a perfect wedding gown…
