Cuckoo

This past weekend Sally, our mom, and I treated ourselves to pedicures.  Guys, I have not had a “professional” pedicure in years, years, years.  I don’t know why but if I want to pamper myself and spend money on a beauty treatment pedicures and manicures never rank on my list.  Oh wait – I know why, because I have an insane collection of nail polish colors and a very steady hand for painting my own toesies!  Anyhow, the pedicure session turned out to be a major bust, it literally lasted all of 10 minutes and solidified my personal opinion of what a waste of money they are.  BUT I did choose the most amazing color that made me wear open toed shoes the entire weekend so I could stare at it…  I’m kind of ashamed this color (from the 2010 Swiss Collection) is not part of my collection – it’s OPI’s “Cuckoo for this Color” – and it’s the perfect bluish emerald green iridescent sparkleish (without being obnoxious) color.  It’s fabulous – just like the dress above by Balmin (but much, much more wearable).

Needless to say, I’m tragically in love with it and will be buying my own bottle as soon as the pedicure polish starts to lose its luster.  Along with my new Pasadena Purple by Nubar, Cuckoo will be one of my go-to nail colors for fall/winter!  Has anyone else tried this color any loved it?

Great color. Love the shine to it. I'm ready to branch out from the matte polishes.

God – I totally agree on the manicure/pedicure thing – so expensive for a ship shod job (I love that saying!). I brought all my nailpolishes over with me to Paris (secretly, because they way a ton and shipping overseas is expensive) and am so glad I did because an OPI nailpolish in Paris is out of control expensive!

Anyways, I just found your blog and am loving it! Especially that you guys are sisters! I miss my sister so much now that I have moved – even with all of the connectivity of technology.

    xXx
