Begging for Fall

It’s finally October and finally cooling down here in Dallas.  Cooling down below the 90′s that is.  For some reason, year after year, I always have the hardest time dressing for work during this transitional weather.  The forecast for today says 87 degrees, but I can gurantee you that its a little crisper than that outside right now.  And then there comes into play the fact that my building is an icebox, but I have the glamourous job of recess duty every single day.  And sweating through my clothing out on the playground is not an option.

These days I am throwing plenty of cadigans and blazers over my usual work wear of skirts and dresses and slowly transitioning from sandals to flats.  Just ordered these puppies the other day (!!).  But, I am pretty convinced that ordering a pair of Minnetonka Tramper boots from Madewell is just what my closet needs to fully transition itself.  Mol and I have been wearing Minnetonka moccasins, the deerskin ones to be exact, for as long as I can remember…  Ever since we were freshman in highschool and our sweet friend Annie introduced them to us.  The quality of Minnetonkas is unbeatable and I will never buy moccasins by anyone else.  Not only that, but I think that these boots would carry me from now all the way through the winter and could be worn to work with skirts and dresses and on the weekends with leggings and skinny jeans.

I know that you can never have enough ballerina flats, but I think that these perfectly fringed guys are just what my work days are missing.

I've had a pair of Minnetonka's for a few years now and they are the most comfortable shoes I own. I seriously reccommend the purchase!
