My boyfriend and I already have two dogs. Two big dogs – labs. And most people think that two is a lot to handle…but we’ve already decided that we eventually want three dogs. At least. Maybe four…who knows. I have an obsession with pups. So last night when he told me that he saw a sign while he was driving for Dachshund puppies for sale I about peed my pants. Visions started flashing through my head of the other two dogs taking care of her and teaching her how to swim in the pool and cuddling with her. Oh, and her name – it would be Pearl. Obviously!
For whatever reason the two of us have always loved little Dachshunds and I think that they pair well with labs. So last night, in an effort to convince R to randomly buy a puppy that we really don’t need right now, I started googling pictures of them and emailed them to him. The subject line of the email? ”Introducing….PEARL.” Omg, am I a freak or what?
Clearly were not getting the dog:( But here are some of my findings last night while googling my little heart out. I couldn’t help but share. Sidenote: Ashley Olson has a Dachshund. As if I needed anymore convincing.

my family has six dogs! more dogs = more fun!
oh goodness, they are adorable! just a wise word though; when dachsunds go in water, they sink like the titanic!
Lauren – my dachsund, Lucy swims like a champ! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
Hi! Random that I happen to come across your blog today, but I am actually in the Dallas area and have a Miniature Dachshund puppy that needs a home ASAP. Super playful and loving, and about 7 months (but fully apartment/potty trained)! My roommate and I got him about a week ago only to find out that she is allergic. Interested??
Sally! I did not know we shared a deep love for doxens???? How did I not know this? I am obsessed with all things doxen. Check out my pinterest board entitled Doxen Love. I just pinned almost every picture you put up. Great finds.
photo number two is not properly credited. and it really upsets me finding photos that don't give due credit from amazing photographers.

you should be sure to credit all photos you share on your blog properly. linking to a tumblr or another website does not suffice and can get you into big trouble. always credit the photographer first, and i suggest you ask for permission first.
Thank you, Ellen! Proper credit has been given
