I say this every month, but seriously I cannot believe it’s December 1st. Twenty-four days till Christmas – try not to be stressed out just by reading that. Am I the only one that gets stressed about countdown to Christmas because of the gift giving? Raise your hand if you’re done with all your holiday shopping or know what you are getting for everyone on your list! Put your hands down – you make me feel like a bad gift giver because I haven’t done any shopping and have question marks next to my people. Thank goodness for all the fab holiday gift guides floating around the blog world right now, huh?
But I love December and I’m wildly excited for the prospect of snow (in Kansas City, not Dallas), the promise of cookies and baked goods galore, the sight of pretty holiday lights (Highland Park Village – omg), and the job of gift giving and receiving. I also love that this month gives me an excuse to start wear my ridiculously large rabbit fur trapper hat. Don’t act like you’re not jealous… I highly suggest adding one to your list if you fancy warm ears and enjoy being stared at while running errands.

Happy December. Okay, honestly? I was super stressing about gift giving (the hunting, the expense, the wrapping, everything), but then my family sent me their lists and since we're not going to be together for the holiday this year, I said the hell with it and ordered every.single.gift online. And yes, I checked the "add gift wrap" option. So convenient and easy.
oh, don't remind me of just 22 days for Christmas! got to shop..give presents..
