I think Kristin Kerr of Simply Smitten might be my interior design soul mate. You know how the rich and famous give designers a budget, jet out of town, and leave their penthouse/mansion/doghouse in their designer’s hands to let them create a place they will love? I’m an opinionated person but I know I could do that with Kristin. Everything on her blog is so spot-on perfect in my interior design world… Sal and I don’t post a lot on interiors (no idea why – we love great spaces and places) so I feel like Simply Smitten is my daily fix. Drink up, readers, she does the blog world good.
OK, so aside from my love for Kristin, I’m OBSESSED (or smitten) with these antlers she posted a few weeks ago. She found the adorable kitchen nook in the first image above via Southern Living and is using it as design inspiration for her new place because she bought that Saarinen table seen in the image (so excited for her but also insanely jealous). The antlers, by Suzanne Kasler, look amaz in that kitchen but I want/need them for my bedroom… I’ve been hunting for something to go on the wall above my bed and they would be the perfect compliment to the white + cream color scheme I’ve got going on.
Feminine yet strong (any Dane Cook fans out there?), there are five different antlers in the set and they can be bought separately or as a set. My birthday’s in October. Just saying… I have no shame in buying myself gifts…
