warby parker geniusness

I have been meaning to write about the wonderful Warby Parker brand for a long time but keep forgetting.  And now they have gone and done even more, so it is about time I tell you sassy leetle readers all about it.

So…if you haven’t heard, Warby Parker is an eyeglasses brand that is very quickly making a name for itself.  WP sells glasses for only $95 a piece.  Total steal for all you spectacle wearers out there, right?!  And that $95 does include the prescription as well. Say what?  This brand was the brain child of four friends who wanted to create an alternative to the overpriced prescription glasses out there.  Not only do they offer glasses at an incredible price, but they’re great looking glasses too.  The kind of specs that I would like to loose a small amount of eyesight for so that I could have a reason to purchase them.  And, the people over at Warby Parker know just how important it is to own a flattering pair of eyeglasses that before you make a purchase, they send you a box of your five favorite pairs to try on before you make your decision.  Genius, right?

Even more, similar to the TOMS movement, WP has “buy a pair, give a pair” where they donate and provide glasses to people who are unable to afford them.  They also create jobs for women living in low income places by training them to start their own businesses selling eyeglasses to people in need.  Now do you see why Warby Parker has made quite the name for themselves?

Now, on top of all of that, Warby Parker has just recently announced that their first sun-wear collection is avaliable for pre-order and ships July 15th.  The sunglasses are also a mere $95 dollars and are polarized as well.  And the frames are pretty fetching if I do say so myself.  I don’t know about you, but I am kind of tired of my sunglasses.  Don’t get me wrong, I am still obsessed with my Ray Ban aviators – and a proud owner of them at that, but sometimes I just get in the mood to change things up a little.  Ya know?  So, at only $95 I think that this could be just the answer.  Now the question is, which pair do I want to buy?  Oh, well, no worries there because once they come out on July 15th, I can order five of them and pick my favorite.  Warby Parker, have I told you that I love you?
