Star Maps

Ya know how I posted about maps last week for my boyfriend’s place?  Well I stumbled upon the Northern and Southern hemisphere star maps seen in the last two images (can’t remember where I found them now) and I’m sorta thinking they’d be perfect for a guy’s bedroom hanging side by side. 

I did a little more googling and Pinterest searching to see what other star maps I could find and I landed on the killer first image from none other than my design sister soul mate’s site, Simply Smitten… I told you the girl has style didn’t I (see post)?  Like Kristin says in her post that went along with the star map – from Thomas O’Brien’s NYC apartment - great, big, vintage star maps are not easy to find…  I looove the idea of having a giant circular one but am also content to stick with the ones from Brainstorm.  What do you guys think?

    Love the colors, magicalness, everything. If Gracie had been a boy baby I wanted to do the nursery ceiling in this awesome astrology wallpaper from RL where the stars glow in the dark… So I definitely approve.

    SARAH – you TOTALLY need to get one… I think they are a timeless piece of wall art

    BAILEY – don't think I didn't think of you immediately when I saw these… you've made me obsessed with that RL wall paper… I know Gracie is perfect but can you and Pete have a man baby in the future so we can all see how you decorate a room with the glow in the dark star paper? Stars are pretty magical…

    Thanks for the shout out, ladies! Thomas O'Brien wrote a blog post about his star charts on the Aero website…you must check it out!  AND I found another alternative to a vintage star chart at RH Baby and Kids.  Hope you have a great weekend! xo

    If you're in the market for a showpiece, the constellation charts from The Municipal Prints Company are killer. I don't seen any decor shots yet (the owner's blog piece says they're coming) but at 3 ft x 3ft, that's certainly dramatic. http://www.municipalprints.com/product1.php
