Fluffy

So Molly and I have this great, down-filled, sectional couch in an amazing yellow-orange wide-whale courdoroy that our mom let us have down in Dallas.  Hard to describe.  Promise it doesn’t look like its from the 70′s or something from a grandmother’s estate sale.  Its pretty cool, really.  The couch makes a pretty big statement on it’s own, but it still needs something else – pillows. Every couch needs some comfy pillows to cuddle up with, right?  My boyfriend doesn’t understand the purpose of pillows on the couch except to throw them on the floor everytime he sits down.  Geez, can’t he appreciate a good down-filled pillow when he feels one?

But, back to our courdoroy friend.  Since the couch is very bright and bold on its own, Molly and I have been talking about investing in some neutral-colored pillows for it.  Call me a bad person, but I love a good animal skin (leopard, python, my navy-blue beaver fur coat passed down from my mimi, you name it).  Hence why these Mongolian lamb pillows from West Elm are pretty much screaming to be bought by moi.  The more images I see where people incorporate this lusciousness into their homes, the more I want it in mine.  There is something about that little bit of fluff that seems to pull everything together and make it all “homey” and warm.  I’m not saying a whole couch of them, but maybe 2 mixed in with some other neutral pillows?  I don’t know, it just seems right.
