It’s no secret we love the Glitter Guide… We stalk the site daily and can’t get enough of their great series and postings on all things wonderful in fashion, style, decor, and entertaining. So we obviously kind of (literally) screamed when the girls asked us to participate in their “must-haves” series! We had so much fun putting together our list of all the things we are currently loving and coveting right now… The GG team did such a fabulous job making our picks look lovely and you can check out all of the details and read our write-ups here! Thank you again, Glitter Guide!! Seeing our feature on your site literally made our day
A little bit ago I posted about my nail polish “rut” here. What a rut to be in, right? Thanks to my sweet friend Hannah I have found the most perfect solution. Ever. Enter: Essie’sMatte About You top coat. A top coat that can turn any nail polish into a matte version of itself. Genius. How am I just now finding out about this? I claim to be a nail polish connoseur yet I don’t know about the coolest thing in nail polish world. Somehow, I had forgotten all about Hannah telling me this until the epiphany I had over it last night. I will be running to the nearest beauty store tomorrow to scoop some up, don’t worry. And in turn, I will be doubling (doubling, people) my current nail polish collection. Yep, I’d say that will get me out of my sad state over my nail colors.
Have any of you tried this? I plan to use it the end of this week and will report back on my findings. The reviews are raving so I have high hopes!
Until seeing the movie The Help, I had never laid eyes on nor heard of the cuteness that is Jessica Chastain. I honestly think she was one of my most favorite people in The Help when she played the naive Celia Foote. Her bright blonde hair and matching personality made it hard not to love her in the movie. I couldn’t help but fall for how endearing she was when taking in Minnie the maid and treating her as if she were family – eating at the same table as her and cooking right along side her – especially in a time when no one did things like that. Literally, favorite character.
I have convinced myself that Chastain is this same character in person too, and after watching the above clip from the Oscars Red Carpet, I think I am right. You must watch it. She. Is. Darling. She brought her “Nana” to the Oscars with her for Christ’s sake! Not only does she have quite the winning personality (or so I’ve decided), but she is downright be-au-tiful. The kind of natural prettiness that she must wake up with every morning. Agh I love her.
A few more reasons to be obsessed (all found through creepy Google stalking): Chastain is an animal lover and owns a 3-legged dog AND she played a character named Sally Ann (!!) in the 2009 movie, Stolen. Do you think she would be friends with me? I think its fate.
