Before I jump into goals and resolutions for 2012, I want to be tacky and give myself a little pat on the back for an awesome 2011. My list from last year was a mashup but I can’t help being a little proud of: running a 5k, developing a ridiculous skin care regiment for day and night, staying out of the sun and wearing sunscreen, using hair products to improve my lion mane of hair, trying and loving macaroons (!), buying that camera and lens I was pining for, being a bit more social, recycling everything, making travel plans even though they weren’t as exotic as I’d hoped for, keeping fresh flowers alive for longer than a day, and for making every day count. Gah, what a year.
This year, my mega huge #1 resolution is to hone my photography skills so I feel confident putting my badass camera to use. I’m one of those freaks that suffers from creative confidence – until I feel 100% good about the product I’m creating, I’m too shy to share it. You can imagine that the first several years of Interior Design school were more than a little painful. Step one in accomplishing this resolution is a photography course on January 14th. Eeeek I’m literally too excited for words!
Other resolutions are a few I didn’t quite accomplish last year plus other goodies: reading more, flossing, 401k (hopefully), making iTunes playlists, buying a vacuum, skyping with friends and family on the reg, finishing my bedroom makeover, waking up less early, wearing bold lip colors, taking more personal risks, and becoming more involved with charities and philanthropies. 2012 is going to rock – I just know it.

My husband got a T2i in November and loves it as well. We've found that the lens makes all the difference and we love our 50mm as it makes you use your feet to focus vs letting the camera do the work. It's also what his photo instructor recommended for all newbies. We also use the book Momarazzi…it's a great resouce for taking pics of your kids, but it also gives lots of general info about lighting, setting, background, etc. Our pics have improved 100%!
Go Molly! Proud & impressed that you followed through on your 2011 resos so well. I want on your 2012 Skype schedule… Happy new year to you and Sal! Love you's.
Yeay!!!! S excited for the class!! I love your images. We will need a cute outfit too
That is such a great goal! I'm adding this to my list as well.

If your company matches at all, I would seriously consider making the 401k your priority. My econ prof. always stressds time over money. You are young, but you will be shocked at how quick it goes. Love reading your blog and wishing you the best!
Ah! Your resolutions are stressing me out and inspiring me at the same time! I DEFINITELY don't have my 401k in order!
