Which Rosemary?

If you guys have been wondering how my year supply of ShoeMint shoes is treating me thus far, I’ve got to say it’s been pretty great.  They gave me 12 credits and since the December launch I’ve been choosing one shoe a month – I figured that each month would yield me a new pair of shoes and I can ride this train for 12 straight months.  So far so good… I love my Jolly wedge booties in taupe and the Janice ankle boot in black. So yesterday, ShoeMint released one of their February shoes early and it’s a style I know and love: the classic pump.  Called Rosemary, the pump comes in black patent leather, nude leather and printed snakeskin.  Best part?  The heel is 3 3/4 inches - my ideal heel height and something I thought I would never see from ShoeMint considering all the heels and pumps thus far have been between 4 and 5 inches.

I’m not even going to wait to see what other styles are part of the February collection, I want to order the Rosemary ASAP (I went trendy on my first 2 credits, I think it’s worth it to get some classic styles into my closet).  But I am so torn, guys.  I don’t know if I want the pump in nude (so versatile, so ladylike - channeling Princess Katherine) or python (so edgy, my favorite print - worn like a neutral a la Kourtney Kardashian). Truth be told, I think it's nearly impossible to find a good nude pump and a perfect python pump.  I’m challenging you all to help me decide which Rosemary I need… Nude, python or both?  Sally thinks both… Both?  Use 2 credits for this month - is that foolish?  Help!

tough call! I'm leaning toward the nude only because I really need a nude pump but the python is really great too! I'd say go for python and then get a pair of the J.Crew monas - they come in leather, patent and suede nude colors!

I'm ordering the nude myself!!

I am loving both but I'd probably go for the nude, it goes with nearly everthing!

ALEX - hmmm, good call, my mama is always saying how lovely the Monas heels are at J.Crack... But the ShoeMint ones are FREE for me!!

MICHELLE - aren't the nude ones lovely? I like that they are in plain leather and not patent... so sophisticated and classy

SARAH - good call, my brain is thinking nude but my bold side is craving python. Should I just get both?!?!

I have a pair of nude pumps, and I loooove them. I'd recommend those for sure, but daaang Kourtney pulls the python off soo well...

Um, girl, I think you know what I am going to say. Python. They are fabulous, They are versatile as well. If you are desperate for the nude, get both, but don't pass up that python. If you had short legs that needed lengthening I would say nude. But dude, you don't! xo

i am no fun. nude all the way. make those long legs even longer!! (but this is coming from a nude addict. i have 5 pairs.)

I vote for the python!!!! It is still a neutral, but a fun neutral!

Python is a year round neutral!! works for work or play. and you'll get way more compliments and attention. PYTHON
(also nude is tricky and it has to match your coloring and sometimes pictures aren't as accurate with the colors)

You need both! As for using up two credits, you know what they say, two in the hand are better than two in the bush.

TWELVE pairs of shoes?!?! You lucky girl! I love the Rosemary's. I'd go for nude.

ERICA - how fab us Kourtney? I want everything she wears... Including her red-soled python pumps!

CHELSEA - haha, I know you and your love of animal prints all too well! It is a very good python print isn't it? Not too dark, not too much brown...

TOBE - girl, you have FIVE pairs of nude heels? That is love... I'm impressed. And jealous of your closet space

SAVVY in SF - totally agree, python IS a fun neutral! It's like leopard but more wearable? If that's possible :)

PAT - word. Finding a good nude for your skin tone is really tricky (pictures always look different than real life) but I don't know something tells me this pair of nude pumps would be sort of perfect. But I agree, python is much for fun for play!

JENNIFER - THANK YOU! Finally someone on team Sally telling me I need both!!! Haha, I'm one of those people that needs confirmation and you've just done that :) Besides, maybe March will be a lack-luster month for ShoeMint and I'll be kicking myself if I don't scoop up both in my size...

SHANNON - I know. I am SO lucky. I'm not even a shoe girl which makes the win even more alarming (and exciting!). Thank you for your vote, honey!!

I say use two credits - it IS impossible to find the perfect nude pump and the perfect python pump.

ERIN - Thank you for adding to the "both" vote! By the way, I ADORE your blog name! Champagne and french fries? You are SO my kind of girl!

I love the python- I'm into the edgy look lately. Are they too similar to your other python ones you
had in college? The Tory Burch ones? If not my vote is the python!

Oh heck Moll, looking back at them
Again I'm thinking BOTH. They are great.

January 31, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterKyle Ann

Oh those are fantastic! I just recently got a pair of nude pumps that I wear to death. Must check out more of shoe mint's heels!

KYLE ANN - thanks for weighing in!! The python pair is a lot differnt from the show I already own... Much more appropriate for work :) Glad you are on board for me getting both! They are pretty great, huh? P.S. I have been feeling pretty edgy myself lately and I missssssss you and your style advice!

ANNA - Nude heels truly do go with SO so much! I know that if I get this ShoeMint pair they will be in regular rotation with my work outfits... ShoeMint is great - so affordable and the shoes are very well-made!
