Mr. Phillip Lim – you probably know him best as the designer behind the label 3.1 Phillip Lim – and you may even associate the name with Pashli satchels, sleek shift dresses, and clothes constructed with interesting details and in thoughtful colors. Whether you know the his name or not, Lim has impeccable taste… Taste that extends past his forward-thinking designs and into every aspect of his Manhattan studio space.
I’m a little obsessed with the color pallet… Thin and wide chevron wood floor in a weathered grey, white walls, black shelves in the library, warm wood accents on furniture, charcoal-colored fixtures make of industrial piping… Neutrals that allow the apparel in the showroom and the artwork strategically placed throughout to really pop. Thank goodness VOGUE snapped the space in all its glory for me us to relish. Someday, I’m going to have a black bookcase. For now, Sally and I will be channeling Phillip’s design since and sick art collection (while also picturing him those adorable polka-dotted jeans) while we do our apt revamp.
Check out the short write-up by Katherine Bernard for more information about the details in the shots… The art work is fascinating! Also, I really want these pants. And this Pashli. My birthday is next Sunday… Just saying.
