Ornaments are a big part of our Christmas tradition… Every year, our mom gives each of us kids a new ornament – always something unique, and always something representative of our personalities or a certain memory. She even marks each of them with our name and the year so we can always know when we got them. With seven kids, you can image that our tree gets pretty full… Our mom says that the ornament-a-year idea isn’t just about the collection itself, but a way for us to have some-what “full” Christmas trees once we start decorating our own!
So, it’s no wonder that I always keep an eye out for the best of the best ornaments. For simple and elegant, to quirky and distinctive – as long as they have aesthetic appeal and a bit of wit, they are welcome in my collection!

What an adorable idea! When I have kids I'd love to do that for them for Christmas every year…haha
the cherry pie one is too cute!
That is such a sweet tradition! I love that! This is the first year that I decorated my own Christmas tree, and I tried to find unique ornaments that I'll be able to keep for years. It was the start to a lifelong collection!
The felt mistletoe from West Elm is super cute! I bought a bunch of them and put them together with red ribbon to make a mistletoe ball for our decor this year after I was shamed by my florist that the real stuff was poisonous

My mom does that too! It's so fun to unwrap them year to year and relive the memories. I'm always amazed by what she finds, too. Aren't moms the best?
Too funny–my family does the exact same thing!

I got my best friend a giraffe ornament last year similar to the one you posted and she loved it! Personally, though, I'm a fan of that cute little piggy
the olivia ornament is super cute!
Ahh I love the pig and the pie, so so cute. Quirky Christmas decorations are the best.
