Emily Rosendahl x A Piece of Toast Clutch

Both Sally and I were shocked, excited, and basically over the moon when Emily Rosendahl reached out to us about collaborating with her to design an “A Piece of Toast” inspired clutch.  We have admired Emily and her handmade leather and hair on hide handbags for a while now so it was a huge honor for her to consider us for her blogger collaboration project… This was our first time collaborating with a designer to create something that incorporated our style and spirit along side their craft and talent – a enormous pinch me moment.

The process was so much fun: We started off discussing size and function and then moved into colors and hair on hide options.  My all time favorite color combination is black and navy – so I loved Emily’s suggestion of doing an assorted black and white hair on hide lined with navy suede and laced with navy waxed canvas cord.  Getting the final design in the mail after weeks of putting our heads together long-distance was even better than Christmas… Each clutch varies slightly because of the black and white hide used – meaning that no clutch will look exactly identical – and it is unbelievably soft.  The inside is roomy and the size is ideal for tucking under arm  or holding with one hand.  The best part is that the classic colors make it wearable year round!

Sally and I are OBSESSED with how it turned out and the ERLG x APoT clutch is the one we reach for on a daily basis.  I think the clutch is a great representation of our personal style and it matches the aesthetic and quality we strive for with the blog perfectly…  I’ve gotten more questions and compliments than I can count from carrying mine the past few weeks and I’m so excited that they are available for anyone and everyone to order on Emily’s shop (get yours here)!  Thank you again Emily, it was a dream working with you!!
