Snakes.

Snakkkkeeesss.  Remember when I posted about Maya Brenner from the Glitter Guide Style At Home feature she was photographed for here?  Remember how I said I don’t like arm parties but I like every single thing she was rocking on her wrist in the picture above?  Well her Stella & Dot snake bracelet has been on my mind way too much and when I found myself clicking back several times to take a look at Anthropologie’s "auspicious" tiny snake stud earrings I thought, “Why not just really explore my snake jewelry obsession?”  Kind of like skulls, snakes/serpent jewelry is a combination of creepy, cool, classic, and edgy.  It makes a statement that says, “Yes, I’m wearing a snake on my finger/wrist/neck in a tasteful way and I’m totally comfortable with it.”

I gravitate toward pieces in gold (obvi) that are either super simple or that have small details like gem-colored eyes, small etchings, or covered in tiny stones.  If you’re afraid to go fully literal with the snake stuff, you can always opt for python/snakeskin jewelry.  Python prints are pretty and make for a smashing pattern that goes with pretty much everything…  Snakes might not appeal to everyone’s personal style but they definitely strike a chord with me.

I love snake pieces, too! I actually have that Stella and Dot bracelet. I think next, I want a cool ring. I'm actually really into number 09 that you picked out!

I had to do a double-take at your #13. Years ago (and by that, I mean over a decade) I wore that exact pair every day--except mine came from Claire's. You just took me back to middle school.

DOUX ROUSSE - So jelly jealous that you have the Stella & Dot bracelet! Is it as fab in person as it looks on the web?! You def need to get a ring now... too cool

GABRIELLE - bahahahahaha, this is exactly why I haven't bought the earrings! If they were set in gold and not black I think I would totally take the plunge... But the black setting makes them look a tad not so nice :)

I was definitely eyeing up a snake ring last month, and your post just reminded me of it. I love the way it would just wrap around my finger, especially if it had a bit of sparkle to it. great post!

I like! I the Aurelie Bidermann ring, kinda sexy. Now I am thinking about those fangs again. You and your posts keep making my wishlist longer and longer. xoxoxo

I like the black stella and dot one (6)! So cute! and I like the mix with the friendship bracelet. It softens it I think. Are you gonna get one? Very cute!!

Ohhh I really like the Tory Birch bracelet (#7). I'm not the biggest fan of snakes and that would be a nice ease into wearing them.

I live and breathe in my snake ring, given to be from my grandmother...the double headed snake had black onyx eyes. beauty beauty!

ERICA - I agree, there is just something really cool and badass about having a snake wrapping around your finger... Especially if there is a bit of bling involved!

CHELSEA - Haha, I still adore the fang rings best - they are just so wild and unexpected!

ALBERTINA - Isn't that friendship-esque bracelet darling? I even love that it's black! I'm considering getting one of the above but I haven't picked a final favorite yet... Oh wait, I want the ring that's $3,000 and that won't be happening :)

LAURA - the Birch bangle would be perfect for you! It comes in another colorway, too. You have to be careful with printed python though - if you get the bangle take care not to get it wet when you are washing your hands and such! The leather with the embossed pattern can damage!

EMILY - I want to see this ring of yours! Your grandma must have killer style :)
