Kate Spade has continually meshed the two ideas with their “Hand in Hand” Collection – jewelry, bags and knits all made by women in war-torn counties and in partnership with Women For Women International. I blogged about beaded necklaces made by Rowandan women last summer (here) and this year they have only upped the ante with more of a selection and different techniques. They look great on the web but I promise they are even more impressive in the stores… When I tried them on in person I was in awe of the quality and really could not believe the amazing price point! The chunky necklaces are especially to die for.
