Let the Games Begin…
Its midnight and the much anticipated Hunger Games movie has finally hit theatres. Did any of you hit up the midnight showing? Sadly, we did not buy tickets for the very first showing of the movie. Midnight is well past our “school night” bedtimes and I am not the best at dodging tweens in the concession stand lines when I’m tired. These sisters will wait it out and see the movie hopefully Sunday or Monday.
Better question: did you read the books? I thought the girl working the tiny bookstore in Breckenridge, Colorado last winter was crazy when I asked her for a book recommendation and The Hunger Games was what she threw at me. I quickly told her that I was not into Sci-Fi and asked for more recommendations. Lo and behold, I left the store with the book and proceeded to read it and the two others in the series within about a week. Throughout my reading of it I kept trying to explain to my mom and boyfriend what the book was about. If you’ve read it, you know what I’m talking about when I say that it really can’t be explained. To fully understand, you’ve just gotta read it. Come on, everyone’s doing it!
These pictures of the pretty cast members are from Vanity Fair back in November. Yes, I think I will quite enjoy Liam Hemsworth in this movie.

OOOOH! super jelous! I loved the books and the bad news is that its gonna take at least a month for the movie to show in Spain!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!!
Let us know what you thought about it when you see it ok?
have a lovely weekend!!!!
I'm making my husband go see it with me on Sunday. You're right…it's not really something you can explain. It's just so good! I'm hoping he'll like the movie and then read the books so he will understand my fangirl squealing whenever one of the commercials comes on

Absolutely loved the books! I can't wait to see the movie. My husband doesn't understand either. So excited!!
I'm a big fan & it's almost embarrassing when I try and tell people about it… They're always like 'Wait, it's about the end of the world?" "Are they cannibals?" No. No. No. Great post, can't wait to see the movie!
I am beyond excited to see this movie this weekend! I am such a fan of all the books and am really hoping the movie does the book justice!

im so busy this weekend, i think im going to go next weekend!
Yes! I read the books– the first 2 over a weekend (I was hooked!!) I can't wait for the movie–I think their casting was perfect.
I just picked the first book up two weeks ago and am blowing through them (whenever I find a spare second!) I am totally obsessed and all over this bandwagon
Just saw it last night. I have to admit…. I started reading the book and I think I'm like the only person in the world that just couldn't get into it? But I wanted to see what happened so I went to the movie..and really enjoyed it. And now I want to read the other two books. Who knew!
