Whenever people ask us if we know other Dallas-based bloggers the first blog that comes to mind is Luella & June. No, we’ve never met Bradley in person, the main girl behind L&J, but since we’ve followed the blog for so long it feels like we know her and her style! She has an eye for all things fashion and we’re always adding things to our “wish lists” after reading her posts collaged with amazing finds in a range of highs and lows… We look forward to her fresh outfit posts and love when she highlights Dallas hot spots and talks pretty interiors – Bradley just has such a pretty sense of style it’s impossible not to read Luella & June to stay in the loop! Like many of us bloggers, Bradley balances a full time 9-5 job as well as her blog (and all the side projects and social media upkeep that comes with it), which is why we are so thrilled that in the midst of her hectic week she is here today with a perfect outfit for work and play… Hope you enjoy what She Wishes She Was Wearing!

QUESTIONS of STYLE:
.Describe your personal style in five words or less: Understated and feminine, with a bit of an edge.
.Who/What inspires your personal style, influencing what you’re drawn to and what you end up wearing? My style is something that continues to evolve. I dress according to my mood that day. I really like to mix different pieces (high-low, vintage-new), and add in some unexpected element. I look to Aerin Lauder a lot. She’s has impeccable style – utterly feminine and timeless. And, of course, Taylor Tomasi Hill. She’s my favorite. Seeing street style shots of her always inspires me to take a risk.
.What is an item you cannot live without or what are some of your wardrobe essentials? My jean jacket. It’s on my “grab in case of fire” list. A friend of mine gave it to me for my 11th birthday (does that mean it’s considered vintage now?). It’s perfectly worn in, and I pair it with everything from shorts and a tee to a cocktail dress.
.What is your most recent purchase? This bright coral Equipment blouse. I could seriously live in these things.
.Where have you found some of your most treasured style items? My mother’s closet is always a good place to start – so many treasures lurking in there. Some of my favorite local spots include Forty Five Ten, Archive, and Cabana. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Shopbop. Checking out their “What’s New” is a daily addiction of mine.
.What is your go-to jewelry routine? Depends on what I’m wearing. I love to pile on the bangles – more is more for me here. Although, I’ll lose the bangles if I’m feeling a statement necklace that day. It’s one or the other, never both.
.What are some of your make-up must haves? I really hate washing my hair, so I rely on Oscar Blandi’s Dry Shampoo probably more than I should. It’s a lifesaver. I also keep plenty of Aquaphor around, and I love Bobbi Brown’s undereye concealer (this stuff works miracles for tired eyes). For my nails, Essie’s “Clambake” polish is my year-round color. It’s the perfect red-orange hue.
.If you could meet any designer who would it be and why? Dana Lorenz of Fenton/Fallon. I’ve been a fan of Fenton/Fallon since my first college internship in New York. Season after season, she continues to impress me. She has the most incredible eye for mixing different materials. Like I said, I like the unexpected, and her designs are certainly that. I would love to just sit down and watch her work.
.What’s the best style advice you’ve ever given or received? One of my favorite Diana Vreeland quotes really sums it up: “A new dress doesn’t get you anywhere; it’s the life you’re living in the dress, and the sort of life you had lived before, and what you will do in it later.”
Cracking up that one for her favorite places to find some of her favorite stylish items – if one we could all have mamas with such well-stocked closets!! Pretty sure those Barbara Bui heels are one of my favorite things I’ve seen since this series started… That color! Leave it to Bradley to find the best of the best
Now go over to Luella & June and have your wish list handy. Thanks again Bradley! xx
