All in a Day’s Work

As a teacher, the fact that it is May 1st today means that we are now in what is known as the home stretch.  With a mere 16 days left until the last day of school, summer is just around the river bend and although this year has more than flown by, I think everyone is ready for some summa summa summa timeee.  When I saw the Kate Spade “All in a Day’s Work” iPhone case above in one of their tweets yesterday, for some reason it made me all the more excited for summer and all that it will bring.  (It could also be because the phone case was photographed alongside a cheeseburger, fries, coke, and chocolate milkshake – drooling).  Even though teachers technically have the summers off, I still work all summer but have some amazing trips planned throughout.  The first beach trip being this coming weekend for my friend Madeleine’s bachelorette weekend – woo hoo!

Pool time is not my days work in the summertime, but I cant’ help but want one of the above pieces – most particularly the iPhone case.  I think I may have to go purchase it as a “happy end of school year gift” (do those exist?) to myself.  My mom fell in love with the bangle when we visited the Kate Spade store on her last visit to Dallas and it is beyond cool in person.  I even saw a chic granny at our grandparents day last Friday carrying the tote bag version.  And you can bet that if I were in the market for a wallet I’d be pining for this poolside guy.  Looks like everyone’s ready for summer?!!?  Happy, happy May 1!

I love that bangle, but Summer seems so far away. I'm still waiting to break out my Spring wardrobe!
