Truth be told, we first fell in love with Samantha of Could I Have That? for her stunning long red locks and dusting of freckles. Girl crush to the max which Sally blogged about here… The crush turned into admiration and her down-to-earth lifestyle blog quickly became a favorite of ours. Not only does she post wearing her amazing wardrobe that screams “Santa Barbara chic and edgy” but she also shares her love of baking, home decor, DIY projects, and peeks of her day to day routine. Speaking of, you all will love the “surfer girl waves” hair tutorial she posted today! Every day we read Samantha’s blog it feels like we are catching up with a friend… A friend that happens to make us very jealous with her photography and baking skills
We could not be happier to have Samantha here today, sharing what She Wishes She Was Wearing…

QUESTIONS of STYLE:
.Describe your personal style in five words or less: Relaxed and casual with a bit of sophistication.
.Who/What inspires your personal style, influencing what you’re drawn to and what you end up wearing? Living in California has a huge influence on my style. I love going to the beach just as much as I love getting dolled up for a dinner party so often times I’ll mix casual pieces with dressier ones.
.What is an item you cannot live without or what are some of your wardrobe essentials? I cannot live without my leather jackets. They’re the easiest way add an element of “cool” to any look and I love layering them with blouses, collared shirts and edgy jewelry. This one is a favorite that I wear almost every other day.
.What is your most recent purchase? White pointy toe heels from Aldo. I loved the way Celine incorporated white shoes in the Resort ’12 collection and have been searching for a pair since. Aldo’s version (here) looks just like them.
.Where have you found some of your most treasured style items? Flea markets! It takes some time but I always find the best vintage jewelry and clothes. There’s a vintage expo twice a year in Santa Monica that is the best.
.What is your go-to jewelry routine? Chunky cuffs and bracelets paired with a delicate necklace. Sometimes I do the reverse with a statement necklace. I usually wear a mix of vintage finds and favorites from Ariel Gordon and Jennifer Fisher.
.What are some of your make-up must haves? Laura Mercier secret concealer, Dior Show mascara, Aquaphor, and Colorscience mineral powder with SPF.
.If you could meet any designer who would it be and why? Zac Posen. I love everything he sends down the runway and he seems so genuinely thoughtful and funny!
.What’s the best style advice you’ve ever given or received? Don’t wear a trend if it doesn’t feel like you. Not all trends are for everyone and true style comes from knowing how to wear clothes that work and feel good on you.
When putting Samantha’s outfit into the layout above Sally and I could not stop saying “this look is so her” – love that her personal style always shines through! She’s completely convinced me that I need to start hitting up flea markets to find wardrobe and decor treasures… Just need to learn some patience so I can find the great things she does
Thank you again, Samantha! xx
