Leigh & Luca

No matter the season, I love a pretty scarf – and LEIGH & LUCA is no exception.  I first learned of the brand last week when I was in Anthropologie admiring some pretty scarves they had rolled up by the register.  What caught my eye first was actually the tags on the scarves – cheeky hand drawings of stick figures showing the various ways you can wear a scarf.  I immediately typed the brand’s name into my phone so that I could go home and research.

LEIGH & LUCA is the brain child of an Australian Entrepeneur, Gillian Leigh, and an award-winning European fashion designer, Susann Luca.  Talk about a team!  The two women wanted to create scarves with a style that combined their dynamic backgrounds.  Their inspiration is drawn from Luca’s travels across the globe and each piece is woven on antique wooden looms.  The scarves are made of cashmere, cottons, and silks and it can take up to a day to weave a single scarf.  All scarves are created in Mongolia, making them a truly exotic piece.  Although the company has only been alive for a little over two years, these two women are definitely making a name for themselves.  Be sure to check out the scarves on their website and the pieces that Anthro sells.  I think my personal favorite is the neon wild horses version

This is such a cute way to show scarf styles. The patterns are fun too.

My favourite is definitely the horse print as well! I would honestly buy one of those scarves just for the tutorial card. It's such a great idea!
