Reading Amber’s blog, Amber Interiors, is like getting equal parts hilarious reality and great home design.  She holds absolutely nothing back in her writing (whether talking about project overload, her love of color and designery trends, or her day to day life as a mama and wife) and it’s what we love most about her.  She could win the “Most Real” blogger award AND a “Most Eclectic Interiors Talent” designer award.  Oh, and she has her own online shoppe where she sells all kinds of awesomeness (the pillows! drooling) – just in case she needed one more thing on her plate.  We are incredibly grateful to count her among our internets buddies and we selfishly hope she never stops blogging…  Today she’s giving you all a taste of her personal style – or as she calls it, “wacky” – as it applies to her wardrobe and we’ve got to say that the look just screams “Amber.”  So… She Wishes She Was Wearing:

QUESTIONS of STYLE:

.Describe your personal style in five words or less:  Whatever is clean and comfy.

.Who/What inspires your personal style, influencing what you’re drawn to and what you end up wearing?  I love the way old grungy rocker dudes dress. I think Steven Tyler & Mick Jagger are my biggest style inspirations.  I am pretty positive that In my past life, I was a man… I would much rather wear dirty jeans and boots than a dress. 

.What is an item you cannot live without or what are some of your wardrobe essentials?  My H by Hudson boots and my Graphic Image organizer.  

.What is your most recent purchase?  A little late to the game but some Current Elliot boyfriend jeans – it’s all about comfort!

.Where have you found some of your most treasured style items?  Planet Blue, All Saints and flea markets!!!

.What is your go-to jewelry routine?  Michael Kors gold watch, a necklace with my daughter’s name, locket with pictures of my daughter and my husband, the Duck, and bangles with both of their initials.

.What are some of your make-up must haves?  Eyelash curler and eyeliner – without those it aint purty!

.If you could meet any designer who would it be and why?  Kelly Wearstler all the way! She is wacky and just out there in every way, but is a rocking Mama and runs an empire. She’s got it all down!

.What’s the best style advice you’ve ever given or received? Just recently I got a great tip on how to make those beachy waves in my hair. I may be late to know this, but you should wrap the section of hair around the curler barrel. Don’t use the clasp. And wrap the hair downward on the curling iron…here is a video that will show ya how. I could just yell that I didn’t know about this sooner!

Melting at the jewelry she wears with her daughter’s name and her hubby and daughter’s initials… Too sweet (and a great idea)!  Also going crazy over the nugget and skull wrap bracelet she picked out – I’ve got the pearl Chan Luu wrap bracelet but this one with the tiny skulls is sort of beyond… Told you her taste was incredible  And if you need further evidence of her talent in the home decor arena you must check out her home that was featured on the Glitter Guide!  Thank you so much, Amber!  xx
