Did you think I meant shooting guns? Nope. It wouldn’t be too out of the ordinary here in Texas, but I was shooting cameras. This past Saturday morning I bribed Jaclyn (the darling photo-taking girl behind Dallas’ style blog Streets of Style) with coffee and secrets to come out and teach me some of her tips and tricks behind shooting portraits outside in natural light. Girl has got major talent and was sweet enough to oblige and spend one-on-one photography nerdy time with me for a few hours…
We had so much fun together discussing techniques, shadows, settings, post-processing, and all that jazzy bidness – aside from all the learning I really enjoyed getting to know more about Jaclyn and how she self-taught herself everything she knows about photography. She’s what I love to call “raw talent.” Anyhoo, we were total goofballs for much of our time together but I liked the images we snapped too much not to share with you all. Be patient with me as I learn the photog ways! Oh and be sure to stop by Streets of Sparkle to check out what the women of Dallas are wearing these days… Thanks again, Jaclyn!!

I need to find a blogger friend in DC to practice with too! I end up with too many landscape shots and not enough people shots. Looks like a fun afternoon!
