Caitlin Flemming and her blog Sacramento Street have inspired me in more ways than one. Her love of interiors, neutrals (especially grays), San Francisco, and all things simplistically gorgeous has made her blog a daily go-to. I credit her for introducing Sally and I to RODIN olio lusso and our obsession with Lo & Sons… And I have some serious envy for her collection of Astier pottery pieces. Having been lucky enough to finally meet Caitlin in person last January at Alt Summit, I can say that it makes perfect sense that she has sophisticated style that is all her own – she’s one of those people that truly has a sure sense of who she is! She’s also super busy… So I really can’t tell you how exciting it is to have her on the blog sharing what She Wishes She Was Wearing today.

QUESTIONS of STYLE:
.Describe your personal style in five words or less: Understated, sophisticated and classic.
.Who/What inspires your personal style, influencing what you’re drawn to and what you end up wearing? I’m constantly on Pinterest looking for street style outfit inspiration. It feels more attainable and gives me so many ready-to-wear ideas! Then I go to my closet and play around with items I already own.
.What is an item you cannot live without or what are some of your wardrobe essentials? My Givenchy Nightingale Tote, any Erica Tanov jacket – I worked there in college and I don’t leave the house without one, and heels – always Dries. I became addicted seven years ago and no other heel can compare.
.What is your most recent purchase? A pair of A Détacher heels. They were a gift to myself for my birthday. I’ve got to say they were the best purchase I’ve made in a long time. And what makes me even more happy is that Mrs. Erin from Apartment 34 wants to rip them off my feet.
.Where have you found some of your most treasured style items? I try to only shop at boutiques. My favorites in San Francisco are – Carrots SF, The Grocery Store, Erica Tanov and Gimme Shoes.
.What is your go-to jewelry routine? I never tire of my go-to’s – my Cartier Tank watch, Melissa Joy Manning statement ring and my wedding rings. I try to add a fun necklace to each outfit I wear – most of them are from J.Crew or vintage.
.What are some of your make-up must haves? I’ve got three favorites – Rodin face oil, Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, and Estee Lauder lipgloss.
.If you could meet any designer who would it be and why? Dries Van Noten – I live for his shoes every season! Plus, each PFW I am in awe of the way the show is designed.
.What’s the best style advice you’ve ever given or received? Always be yourself. If something doesn’t feel right immediately and you “try” to make it work, don’t force it. I follow this every time I’m out shopping.
Hmm, sounds like I might need to check out Dries Van Noten heels – she definitely sold me on their fabulousness. Loving that she looks to Pinterest for ways to wear pieces she already has in a different way… I always find such great street style looks on Sacramento Street. Thank you again for taking the time to participate, Caitlin! xx

Love her simple Parisian style!
Caitlin's blog was one of the first I stumbled upon when starting my own. Doesn't she have such great taste in well…everything?! Every once in awhile, I make one of her recipes and let me tell you, they're delicious! Love those shoes she's picked out.
What a fun series. Love love that tote!
