Man Jewelry – For Me

Full disclosure, I almost kept my discovery of D.C.I. a secret.  Sometimes I find things that I like so much that I selfishly don’t want anyone else to know about them.  I know that makes me a total freak… But hey, it’s hard these days to find things that aren’t already on every single blog and I never said I was normal.  But y’all are my buddies and you know I can’t keep stuff from you… Especially the good stuff.

So I have this thing for wearing stuff that is intended for guys… It’s why I wore men’s cologne in college instead of perfume, why I wear a bossy black utilitarian watch, why I love giant oversized oxfords, and why I need to have a stack of these handmade (for men) bracelets by D.C.I.  Not sure where this obsession came from exactly – but I’m pretty sure it’s just because I love juxtaposing my feminine aesthetic with more rugged, men-inspired things.  I think my black watch looks awesome with chiffon and florals and I love how these bracelets would play off my dainty gold necklaces (and the dainty gold bracelets I hope to start acquiring).  I’ve been wanting some stone bead bracelets but all the ones I’ve found are either bedazzled or on elastic (which I would break in a minute).

D.C.I. is a Swedish based company and all their bracelets are hand-made of natural stone and sterling silver – right outside Stockholm, Sweden.  I love the gorgeous tones of the stone they use and the tiny silver anchor bead they use as their signature.  Because they’re intended fore men, I’m pretty sure they can stand up to my daily wear and tear.  And since I don’t know many guys that actually wear man jewelry, I’ll be getting two for myself.  Or three.

haha I so do this too!! My first inclination when I find something I'm totally obsessed with is to hope no one else finds out about it. My next thought is then inevitably, "man, I'm such a b%#$" aha. Love the newest banner pics btw!

I like certain pieces on guys. My husband is so picky with what he'll wear so I'm constantly looking for the right mix of masculin and style!

I used to wear men's cologne as well! These bracelets are still rather dainty, but agree that they can give your ensemble a bit of edge. =)
