Jeanne is one of many wonderful women I had the pleasure of meeting last January at Alt Summit.  I knew I would be obsessed with her blog after she handed me the most adorable business card and shyly accepted my overzealous gushing over it…  Even though I noticed her fabulous style first, Jeanne’s sweet nature and humble, down-to-earth attitude are what captivated me.  Her blog, Shop Sweet Things, blends her love of shopping, fashion, home decor and interiors, mama and baby sweetness, and her own photography.  You’ll love seeing snippets of her home and her soon-to-be two year old daughter, and shopping from her weekly “sweet things under $20.”  With another baby on the way I can only image the greatness that is in store for Jeanne and her blog!  I’m so happy she carved out time to pull together such an adorable San Francisco-esque She Wishes She Was Wearing post…

QUESTIONS of STYLE:

.Describe your personal style in five words or less:  Modern, Chic, Whimsical. 

.Who/What inspires your personal style, influencing what you’re drawn to and what you end up wearing?  I love looking at Jenna Lyon’s style. She is not afraid to be bold and have such a great sense of style when it comes to mixing and matching. She also manages to look very well put together but always seems to throw it off with a little bit of funk, which is what makes her style so interesting to me. I get inspired by Jenna from wearing bold colors and mixing leopard and stripes.  

.What is an item you cannot live without or what are some of your wardrobe essentials?  My iPhone and my flats! 

.What is your most recent purchase?  A few Equipment Blouses and a Rachel Comey Blazer. 

.Where have you found some of your most treasured style items?  Some of my most treasured style items are found through local boutiques in S.F., they’re in the Mission or the Hayes Valley. Aside from the local boutiques, I love Zara, J.Crew, H&M, Gap, and Barneys. 

.What is your go-to jewelry routine?  Lately, I’ve been staying very subtle with my jewelry routine. I usually have on my gold-studded-black-leather bracelet watch from La Mer, a really thin gold necklace, maybe a Kate Spade bracelet, and my wedding ring.  

.What are some of your make-up must haves?  My primer and concealer from Korres.

.If you could meet any designer who would it be and why?  I would love to meet Coco Chanel (though that would never happen.) She is such a legend and so smart and classy. All her designs and collections are reflection of her outlook in life. 

.What’s the best style advice you’ve ever given or received?  Don’t fall into trends so easily. Wear what looks right on you, not on somebody else!
