There’s nothing I like more than getting introduced to new-to-me companies and brands – it kind of feels like Christmas and obviously makes me want to share my discovery through this here blog! I was recently made aware of the fantastic company JADEtribe… Founded by native Texan and fashion maven Kimberly Hartman, the brand creates bags and jewelry that are 100% natural and ethical. Inspired by her world travels and the handmade creations by women in Laos, each bag is made of organic and hand-dyed and woven cotton or re-fashioned original textiles. Um, all the bags are cool + gorgeous if you ask me.
Even without knowing the back-story, the totes, messengers, weekenders, and clutches have a one-of-a-kind cool factor that’s nearly impossible to find. Knowing that they are made by women for women is just the icing on the cake. AND the jewelry is gorgeous, too. Well-priced beaded bracelets that will bring a global look to any outfit. My JADEtribe wish lish includes the Nicole messanger bag and the clear beaded cuff. It’s always easier to shop when you know your purchase is helping the lives of women in other countries
