You know it has been a ri-dic-ulous week when: you get in physical and verbal fights with your stapler at work and the stapler wins… every time // running to and from the bathroom to get back to your desk is your singular form of exercise (which is actually a step up from your typical workout routine that is 100% non-existent) // the cable company calls you and asks if you want to pay your bill because it’s very late – guys, I pride myself on my bill-paying skills, like, I pay bills in advance and find joy in balancing my utilities – so this was a new low // your day planner looks like an explosion // your skin freaks out on a whole other level you didn’t even know was possible – just because it probably thought it was good timing and wanted you to see what teenage-esque breakout it was capable of // you can’t remember what it feels like to sit on your own couch // you tell a friend that if 12-hour workdays was a person with a hand, you would give them multiple paper cuts and then squeeze lemon juice on said cuts (help me?) // eating cold pizza at 10pm is the best dinner you’ve had all week.
I’m going to be completely honest in telling you that I LOVE my job and I LOVE blogging – but holy omg things are beyond crazy right now. Psychotic-crazy weeks like this past one make me feel out of breath but it just means that exciting things are happening… There are SO many things I am excited about right now. Life feels really, really good. Even with my broken-out skin and staple fights I can’t help but feel giddy. Under-slept and giddy. Carpe diem, right? Right.
