Heidi Merrick might be old news to some people (I know I’ve seen her pretty things and names around the blogsphere), but I had never taken a true hard look at her goodness till now. Thanks to my favorite online boutique curated by Michelle of Pretty Mommy, I have become completely engrossed in her ethereal designs. Not sure if this is a good thing for my wallet… But I love how her pieces are so light and sheer – they almost have a boho ballerina-like thing going on. After learning that Heidi is a California native with a famous surf board shaper for a dad, it’s easy to see how her laid-back style influences her clothing (and home line). I’m a details girl – in my mind they make an outfit and are well worth the expense of a gorgeous item – and her visible pockets, tiers of silk, low backs, and mix of materials (leather + unfinished cotton, silk + leather cording) are what sets her apart.
