It’s very fitting that Joslyn have the word lovely as part of her blog’s name – she is without a doubt, one of the most lovely people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. Are you ready for this? She is the author of her personal lifestyle blog Simply Lovely (which she founded in 2005), co-editor of of the blog Tiny Dallas, and style editor of D Home magazine (also the one behind most all of its blog posts), and main editor of D Moms magazine (which launches in October). She’s also a wife and mother of two adorable, smart, artistic, and well-mannered daughters. How does she do it? Joslyn serves up a good amount of “real life” talk on Simple Lovely, often sharing her thoughts on being a working mama, balancing it all, and living live in a meaningful way. She is modest, humble, beautiful, intelligent, and still makes you feel like you are the most important person in the world when she talks to you… I think her secret to “having it all” comes from her excitement for life, her positive spirit, and her soulful nature. I could gush about my love for her for days – but today she is playing dress up and showing us what She Wishes She Was Wearing! Yes, I do feel guilty for asking her to participate (busy much?) but just look how beautiful her taste is?! It had to be done

QUESTIONS of STYLE:
.Describe your personal style in five words or less: Classic with a touch of hippie (that was six…sorry
.Who/What inspires your personal style, influencing what you’re drawn to and what you end up wearing? I’m really inspired by girls like Sofia Coppola, Sally Singer, and Caroline de Maigret …Their style is confident, consistent, seemingly effortless, a little messy, and insanely cool. I will forever aspire to dress with that mindset.
.What is an item you cannot live without or what are some of your wardrobe essentials? I wish I could pull off flats, but I’m a wedge girl. Always. I love a good pair of straight jeans with blazers and slouchy t-shirts. It’s easy but pulled together.
.What is your most recent purchase? A Dries Van Noten black and white canvas and leather tote.
.Where have you found some of your most treasured style items? I love the amazing 75% off sales at Barneys and Forty Five Ten. They are where I’ve found my very best things over the years. I also love shopping at my friend Michelle’s online shop, Pretty Mommy. She has amazing taste. Everything is perfection.
.What is your go-to jewelry routine? A big brass cuff or a sculptural necklace and a stack of gold rings that I’ve collected over the years.
.What are some of your make-up must haves? Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, One Love Organics Morning Glory (I am obsessed with this stuff…it’s magic), Essie Clambake nail polish, and a smoky lined eye.
.If you could meet any designer who would it be and why? Stella McCartney. She just seems crazy fun and cool.
.What’s the best style advice you’ve ever given or received? Don’t be afraid to try new things, but in the end wear what makes you comfortable and happy.
Fact: Joslyn has more authentic style in her little pinkly finger than I have in my whole body. Fact: Her honest intelligence and wicked good taste is what makes me want her as my life coach/mentor
If you haven’t gotten to know her through her blogging yet, I suggest you cancel the rest of your day so you can read up on Simple Lovely, Tiny Dallas, and D Home… Thank you again, lovely Joslyn! xx

love joslyn! her girls are adorable and she is so chic!
So glad I found your beautiful blog. What a gorgeous intro, she really seems one of those "I don't know how she does it" Mamas.
I've been reading her Simply Lovely blog for some time, it's nice to read your sweet words about her and give some personal insight to the woman behind the blog! Holy cow is she busy or what? Love wedges, En Passant and wear it daily. Now to check out those smart looking jeans! Fun post and what a great way to find your blog!
I've been wearing En Passant since 2004, when I first visited the F. Malle shop in the rue du Cherche-midi! I wear other perfumes too, but I never tire of that one; and I know it's the scent my three year old associates with me. It's wonderful!
Love all of Joslyn's picks.
