Now that the word is officially out that these sisters will be attending NYFW next week (!!), the next thing on the list is to plan our outfits. As newbies to New York Fashion week and rookies (at best!) in the fashion world, this can be quite the daunting task. Because we will be going, going, going for five straight days in New York, having things planned out in the way of clothes will be key. No time for sleep in the city, right? Luckily Molly and I are both fortunate enough to have closets full of very versatile, classic pieces that we will be able to mix and match with newer items that we have picked up. Classics like a great jeans, pretty Joie blouses, and more blazers than we know what to do with mixed with the more fun/trendy items. Shopping for the “fun” pieces is definitely the best part:)
This fall we are both seriously lusting after leather. Whether its a skirt, shorts, and leggings – we want it all as long as its leather! Here’s where the Rebecca Minkoff sale comes into play. The above pieces were just a few of my top picks from the sale that I have been dreaming about them ever since I first laid eyes on them. The Femme Fatale strappy shoe as seen on The Glamourai (how insane do those look on her?) look absolutely amazing on and could add so much dimension to our typical classics. They would be so fun come wintertime with black tights as well. I hardly have words for the Wes Python Motorcycle Jacket. I have a serious python/snake/whathaveyou obsession and this jacket is so screaming cool. Skinny jeans, white tee, and a python jacket!? Yesss please. Hoping that RM may have this guy in their NYC store to try on next week before I buy online for size (fingers crossed)! The Mika Leather shorts as seen on OP sadly sold out faster than I could even get them up on the blog, but I did find them on sale here. Love the look of these and how they aren’t skin tight and have an almost loose fit to them. Black, tight, leather shorts are not a good look on anyone…right?
Clearly, I am seriously crushing on all things Rebecca Minkoff right now. This is one brand that I have truly enjoying watching as it has evolved from wonderful and practical handbags (proud owner of a MAC clutch that I purchased over two years ago!!) to clothing, shoes, and so much more. She really is a talented woman who has built quite a name and brand for herself. Molly and I are definitely hoping to possibly have an opportunity to connect with the amazing people behind this company while in NYC. Fingers crossed! In the meantime, you know we’ll be shopping RM online

I was JUST eyeing those shoes yesterday! Think they're a bit too high for me though, I can't really walk very far in heels over 4", sadly!
I've never felt fashionable when visiting NYC, so having the opportunity to shop for all your fun events must be like the cherry on top of the sundae!

Olivia looks so chic. Oh how I would love to go to NYFW! Lucky girls!
The RM sale has been distracting me at work for the past few days. I have loved watching the brand grow as well, I use my MAC clutch all the time & I'm ready to bring a new piece into my wardrobe

I love the leather look too! These outfit inspirations are so great. I'm heading to Fashion Week for the first time too and I've been trying to choose outfits for the event as well. Such a hard task!
