Gretchen Scott Designs + Elizabeth’s Hope

At this point, I am sure many of you have heard of/seen the gorgeousness that is Gretchen Scott.  Her beach tunics are the perfect summertime staple and she has a little bit of everything.  While making the blog rounds and visiting Classy Girls Wear Pearls (Sarah Vickers of Kiel James Patrick who is the epitome of East Coast Prep) the other week , Sarah was sporting a darling, multi-colored iKat, Gretchen Scott shirt.  It wasn’t just any shirt though, it was the Elizabeth’s Hope blouse.

Elizabeth Minter was a young girl who had just finished her Freshman year at Denison University when she was diagnosed with a rare and inoperable brain tumor during the summer of 2010.  After battling the cancer for almost two years, Elizabeth passed away this past May, but not without leaving her legacy behind.  The young girl was smart and determined to find treatment options for cancers like hers and her friends and family have continued in this effort.  In memory of their friend Elizabeth, Gretchen Scott Designs has created the Elizabeth’s Hope Blouse.  100% of proceeds from the shirt are donated to help fund this research.

After reading of Elizabeth’s story, I couldn’t help but share it with you and give you all the chance to purchase the blouse yourself.  Things like this absolutely break my heart and leave me wishing there was some way I could do something.  Cannot wait to order one of these myself!
