Our last remaining time in New York on Sunday was spent walking around Lincoln Center – the site of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and location of all the tents with the runways… The weather was incredible (nicest day of the entire trip) and the people watching was definitely the best we saw all trip. There is something about New Yorkers – they have such an easy confidence when it comes to street style. Not necessarily “decked out” in their fanciest, but put together in a chic and effortless way. We would have walked around snapping photos all day if we could have…
Yes, “celebrity” sightings were had. It was surreal and epic. Bill Cunningham – famed fashion photographer for the New York Times. Nina Garcia – Marie Claire Fashion Director and Project Runway judge. Nicky Hilton – no description needed. Jay Manuel – America’s Next Top Model. June Ambrose – stylist – and her daughter. And last but not least, “The Clarins Sisters” Virginie (missing sister Claire) and cousins Prisca and Jenna – all four are the granddaughters of Jacques Courtin-Clarins, who founded the Clarins skin-care company. The most gorgeous and fashion forward beauty heirs… We are obsessed. We probably saw more note worthy people but didn’t realize who they were. Aren’t we adorably ignorant?
