How fitting that our guest blogger this week is none other than Anna of Tulip Louise, the very style blogger we have the honor of being in a “Style Standoff” with on the Layla Grayce blog! We could not ask to be in better company – Anna is one sweet girl and a serious talent when it comes to styling others (she always seems to be working on some amazing project) and herself. It’s not hard to be envious of her incredible taste… And I’m willing to bet that any fellow fan of her blog could tell you that she takes risks style within reason and always manages to put looks together that are “her” to a T. Don’t be fooled by her sometimes edgy look though, Anna has one of those darling personalities that make you melt when you are around her. If you haven’t already, check out the look she styled on Layla Grayce and vote for your favorite! And of course, we are so thrilled to have her here today, with a burgandy and blue/green She Wishes She Was Wearing look that is absolutely incredible…

QUESTIONS of STYLE:
.Describe your personal style in five words or less: Sophisticated, femme, vintage, rock-and-roll elegance
.Who/What inspires your personal style, influencing what you’re drawn to and what you end up wearing? Three people i am currently stalking are Natalie Joos + Mira Duma + TTH. i’m also a m-a-j-o-r magazine girl; my favorites that i look to for trend and editorial research are Elle, VOGUE, and W.
.What is an item you cannot live without or what are some of your wardrobe essentials? Zara waxed skinnies, cozy Vince sweaters, vintage jewels, sunnies, Macbook, and my Mophie battery pack.
.What is your most recent purchase? A yummy vintage DVF sweatshirt, from an airstream shop called the Grey Dog.
.Where have you found some of your most treasured style items? I consider my most treasured items to be tucked away in my jewelry box — most of which have been found at a vintage store called Mae’s Emporium.
.What is your go-to jewelry routine? More is more.
.What are some of your make-up must haves? L’Oreal Voluminous mascara, Visine, bold lipsticks {by either MAC or Revlon}, Laura Mercier concealer, and Chanel pressed powder.
.If you could meet any designer who would it be and why? Great question! I was fortunate enough to have my “big moment” during NYFW in February – being invited backstage at the Oscar de la Renta show was totally surreal and something I will not soon forget. On a different note- – a designer to watch is a local friend of mine, Leslie Pennel, the heart and soul behind ESQUE. I have collected quite a few of her pieces in the past year or so and am just waiting for them to be considered collectors items.
.What’s the best style advice you’ve ever given or received? “Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say, and not giving a damn.” Pardonnez moi, but it couldn’t be more true!
She hit the nail on the head with that genuine style advice! Be sure to stalk up her blog if you haven’t already – you will love Tulip Louise and Anna so much
Thank you so much, Anna! xx
