While ferociously pinning images a little while ago (do you all ever get in a panic after not being on Pinterest for a whole day that there is just so much goodness on there that you’re sure to miss re-pinning something good?), I spotted these cheeky Celine and Hermes-like sweatshirts by Brian Lichtenberg and I can’t get them out of my brain. Let’s be honest the sweatshirt above is already awesome in that it mimics the touted Hermes logo, but the fact that it says “Homies” makes it even better. Forget the pretty horse drawn carriage, we’ve now got a low riding truck on our hands. Now I don’t know that I could wear this to work (no way, no how), but I could surely get a whole lot of use out if it on the weekends and after work. You can never have enough weekend clothes in my book and this would like great now as well as in the spring with some jorts and sneakers or over a flouncy mini skirt. Done and done. Did I just convince you that you, too, need one of these guys as well? If the Homies isn’t screaming your name like it is for me, there is also a “Feline” version for cat lovers (not me), or a “Canine” version as well. Still love the Homies best – I have a strong feeling that my boyfriend would appreciate it too. At $98, these sweatshirts are a prettyyy pennyy but hey, they’re unique and you pretty much have sweatshirts foreeverrr. Am I right?
In other news, tomorrow is Friday and its pajama day in first grade at school. I see flannel and slippers in my very near future. Now the only question is, is it weird to put that on at the gym after I work out and get ready there? Probably, yes…
Did you know that BaubleBar is celebrating their 2 year anniversary? As the online destination for a huge collection of affordable and sparkly jewelry, it’s no surprise that they’re marking this milestone with an Anniversary Collection – some of the most-loved BaubleBar pieces re-released and covered in pave! I, along with some other fab bloggers, are in a friendly “style-off” competition… We each chose two of the pave pieces and styled them up.
Liking my look above? You could win the two pieces I styled! All you have to do is re-pin any images of me styling the pieces from the BaubleBar Blog and come back to this post and leave me a comment letting me know your Pinterest username and how much you’d love to style the same pieces I chose. If I gets the most re-pins, I’ll pick a reader at random to win! I think it goes without saying that I want one of you A Piece of Toast readers to take home the loot… So head over to BaubleBar’s blog and gets to pinning!
Please, ignore the pale and bony feet staring at you from the photos above. And focus on the pretty little slippers on said feet… These little guys aren’t just your run-of-the-mill slippers – they’re part of a new re-imagined collection by legendary shoe-maker Jacques Levine. Made of soft suede on the outside and cozy shearling on the inside, the slippers are finished off with a cutie grosgrain bow. Classic and cute… Especially in the tan and black color combination I’m sporting. The best part? There’s a light rubber sole on the bottom – made for moments when you have to make quick dashes out of the house or you’re one of those people who thinks going to the grocery store in slippers is totally acceptable (like me).
Jacques Levine is sweet enough to be gifting one A Piece of Toast reader with a pair of the Inslee Ballet Slippers in the tan and black color way (the exact pair I’m wearing above)! Let’s be honest – it’s still freaking cold outside and your toes deserve to be swaddled in shearling as we head into February… Sally and I have made it part of our daily routine to rip take off our work shoes and slip into our Ballet Slippers as soon as we walk in the door. Even when we pair them with sweats and leggings, they make us feel a little bit glam.
