Sister Crush

Remember when I posted about Lizzie Fortunato Jewels this past August?  I whined about not being able to see their Resort ’13 collection when it was on Moda Operandi…  Well, Grace’s DIY post today (which is incredible) reminded me that OMG, resort collections are upon us and OMG, I need to see what goodness the girls at LF turned out!  Speechless.  The lookbook and the collection is that. good.  So good that I whipped up a quick email today to tell the sisters I thought so.  Kathryn was sweet enough to write back (in under 20 minutes – which made me realize that a) she is a freaking gem, and b) I need to step up my email response time in a big way), wish me a happy new year, and offer some larger image sizes if I wanted them…

I had planned to save a post about the collection till next week — until I saw Lizzie and Kathryn featured on Madewell’s homepage as “Sisters in Style.”  !!!!  The Fortunato sisters – twins no less – in all their adorable and stylish glory! It was all too ironic – these three separate connections I had in one day – and I just knew I couldn’t delay posting my love for them, their latest goods, and their darling Madewell feature.

I don’t want to give away their feature, but it’s definitely worth checking out just to read their short and sweet Q+A.  We get emails all the time from other sisters, bloggers or otherwise, that tell Sal and I how much they love that we are close sisters and that we share this little blog… I always thought it was sweet (ok, super sweet) but I think that my crush on Kathryn and Lizzie definitely makes me get the whole “omgWEaresistersTOO!” connection much, much more.
