My friend Paige was in town this weekend visiting her brother and some other friends… We had a blast hanging out and recalling all those “remember when…” stories that were probably obnoxious to everyone else but left the two of us in tears from laughing. We lucked out and got a perfectly gorgeous weekend with blue skies and temps in the 50s and 60s. After having a little too much fun at Mi Cocina and SMU bars Friday night, Paige, Carolyn and I nursed our hangovers with a walk on the Katy Trail and custard from Wild About Harry’s. We meandered through fave boutiques Nest and Forty Five Ten but were most content when sitting outside and chit chatting about nothing.
Paige was happy that she got to eat some of Dallas’ finest (Eatzi’s and Little Katana were involved) and I was happy that I got to meet new friends because and cuddle Paige. I was also happy that the wonderful Saturday was followed by a relaxing day today… I slept in, met with my buddy Katie (we’re cooking up good things for the blog), got my car washed, ran some errands, and played with lipstick (gah! I’m getting so brave). Thought I would finally give you guys a glimpse of my Fornasetti plate – ignore the fact that there’s no context surrounding it and picture it above a full length mirror.
Now I’m just waiting till I get to stuff my face with food and watch the Beyonce concert Super Bowl tonight.
P.S. If you haven’t picked up the February issue of FD Luxe, it’s beautiful! Kudos to Bradley for another inspired issue!

Mi Cocina is one of my favorites! I'm at school in Alabama and miss my Tex-Mex every day.
