Well, Sally beat me to the punch yesterday with her list of resolutions and goals for 2013… I know a lot of people aren’t big on the list making thing, but Sally and I are – and it’s fun to look at my lists from the past two years and see what I’ve accomplished and how my goals/priorities have changed (2011 list, 2012 list). Below is my own list of things I want to tackle this month year:
1. Respond to {blog} emails quickly. Same day response if possible.
2. Get to work earlier.
3. Be as professional as possible at work (re: I am a goof).
4. Research best practices for training lab puppies. Going to get one in August!
5. Cut people slack. One of my favorite take aways from The Happiness Project.
6. Continue to de-clutter my life. And order grown-up desk supplies
7. Work out several times a week to have more energy (or at least try to have more energy).
8. Cook more at home (pasta does not count).
9. See friends during the week more often.
10. Do some re-design stuffs to this blog to freshen things up…
And I would also like to swear less or cut the bad habit all together – because it’s super unattractive and unprofessional. Oh, you didn’t know that I swear? That’s because I’ve tried to keep this blog clean and cute
In addition to the list above, just include all the stuff from yesterday’s Toast Talk. I think I can, I think I can…

swearing is my dirty secret too! My husband and brothers are always on me to be more ladylike. My roommates in college made me put a quarter in a jar every time they heard me doing it, which helped me cut down on it. I was going broke!
I was just patting myself on the back for having had made dinner last night…but I made pasta. Haha. Is it okay if it's quinoa pasta? Probably not. I should probably add that item to my list as well. I love your resolutions – I know you're going to do great at them!

I could tell you so many things about training lab puppies. I raised a lab and I loved him so. There are some things I would differently now, but it was a great experience. Also getting to work early is a great goal! Way to go!
Good luck Molly!! You are many steps ahead of me by evening making a list

I've been trying to cut down on my swearing too but it's so difficult! Especially when the people around you swear A LOT.
I ADORE The Happiness Project and have been dying to read Happier at Home, but I'm waiting for the paperback version to come out. Fingers crossed its soon!
I'm trying to come up with 101 things for Design Darling's 101 in 1001. Only at 46…
Love number 5!!!
And as for "#11"…meh. Is it weird that I feel like I'm less likely to become close friends with someone if they never swear at all?
Swearing and being goofy at work are my two as well!!! I think the swearing thing is worth working on, but I actually find people like a little goof in the workplace – breaks up the work-work-work feel!
Great goals! Love "The Happiness Project."
