It has now been over a month since our New Years beach trip to Mexico, yet I am still dreaming about warmer weather and beaches. Normal? Who knows. Lately, I have been helping my mom with the details of planning a family reunion beach trip for my Grandparent’s 60th Anniversary and that has helped to keep the beach on my mind pretty much 24/7. Knowing that you’ll be going in the next few months is a hard thing to take off of your mind:) I can’t complain though, we have had pretty amazing weather in Dallas lately. Highs were in the 70′s last weekend and it was perfect weather to hang outside with the pups. Things could be much worse in February…right Northerners??!
Although I won’t be donning a bathing suit anytime soon (thankGOD because I am SO pale), I can’t seem to take my mind off of Marysia. Created by Maria Dobrzanska Reeves, the swimwear line is insanely gorgeous while still remaining wearable (not like some of those knit pieces that probably aren’t even allowed to get wet!). Up until resort 2012, Marysia had strictly stuck to creating suits that were either a solid color or colorblocked, but with their unique cuts and details the solid suits are far from boring. Each piece is so pretty that they almost remind me of little works of art. For Resort 2012, the company released their very first print featuring flamingos that was inspired by trips to the jungle. With a super fun print and beautiful solids in the mix, I have a hard time choosing a favorite for myself! All I know for sure is that I must make one of them mine before summertime rolls around:)
Also worth noting for all you mamas out there, Marysia has a children’s line of swimwear as well called Bumby that is absolutely adorable for any sun bathing baby.
You can find a couple of Marysia’s suits like this and this online at Shopbop

These are some sexy suits! I love how they remind me a little of shark teeth, with all the cut-outs. A little dangerous, a lot beautiful.

I love the scalloping/cut outs on the edging, it's so cool and unique! You'd have to be really careful not to get funky tan lines in one of these though!!
